Christie Lehman, M.D.

Dr. Christie Lehman MD, FABPMR, R-MSK

Dr. Lehman is a former college athlete who, like many, "overdid it." During her many years of playing soccer, she suffered severe knee injuries that required multiple reconstructive surgeries and lengthy recoveries.

Not enough can be said about the importance of injury prevention. We now know that youths who suffer an ACL injury, for example, are likely to develop arthritis in their knee by the time they are 30. Many of us end up paying the price for injuries suffered in our earlier years. There are more people than ever experiencing pain and limitation because of old injuries and wear and tear conditions.

Dr. Lehman is very passionate about finding nonsurgical treatment options for those, young and old, who are looking to still enjoy an active life.

Reviews

"Asheville Regenerative Ortho is the closest provider of Regennex treatment to my home. My company covers Regennex, and as an alternative to knee replacement (both knees) I decided to take a chance. Very happy I did. Had left knee procedure at the end of May, and that knee is almost entirely pain free now. Planning to do right knee soon. Dr Lehmann and all the staff are very professional, explained the treatment and its potential for my specific situation."

"I had the Regennex procedure on my left knee in May 2022. 3 months later it is nearly pain free (compared to highly painful prior). Planning to have right knee done soon. Dr. Lehman and entire staff were friendly, professional, and explained the procedure and likely outcome in detail. Very satisfied with the results so far, and hoping this delays the need for knee replacements for several years."

"I've been back to this office about 4 times already. Dr. Lehman is TOP notch. Her staff, TOP notch. I live out of state and have to travel but the Dr. and staff just make the experience easier. No,getting poked a bunch of times isn't fun but this office is just awesome. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

"6 months post procedure: I'm walking and moving around so much better after Dr. Lehman gave me the platelet injection. My left knee has real bad arthritis and was ready for knee replacement surgery. i just didn't want that so I tried the injections and I'm doing so much better. The staff they have are super wonderful and helpful. I recommended them to 3 of my friends and they are all happy with their results...(neck, back, shoulders and knee). So much cheaper than surgery and the down time is only a day or two. I would highly recommend Asheville Regenerative Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Roberta Jennings"
